The Filmmakers

About the Directors

Terrell Case, Timothy Lucas Wistrand, and Matthew Corey Gattin met at the University of Central Arkansas where they studied Digital Filmmaking. During their collaboration in college they formed Duck-A-Duck Productions. They made several short films before filming “The Natural State of America.”

About the Writer/Producer

Dr. Brian C. Campbell, the writer and producer of the film, is an agricultural anthropologist and a professor at the University of Central Arkansas. He started a seed bank at UCA as well as a seed saving and seed swapping organization called Conserving Arkansas’ Agricultural Heritage or CAAH! Learn about it by clicking here.

About the Animator

Gustav Carlson, the animator for the film, is a native Ozarker whose land was recently sprayed. He has an online comic series based on life in the Ozarks. It is called Backwood Folk. Click here to check it out.
